Three, as a Bird
Free as a Bird is a song/demo originally a song recorded by John Lennon in New York in 1977. In 1994 Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr came together in Sussex together to record 'around' John's demo to record a full song 24 years after the break up of The Beatles and 14 years after John had died.
The song was released on the 4th December, 1995 and the song won the 1997 Grammy for 'Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal'.

Did you know?
The video for Free of a Bird produced by Vincent Joliet and directed by Joe Pytka; from the point of view of a bird in flight, it depicts many references to Beatles songs. The video at one point it shows The Beatles performing on stage in The Cavern Club and also Eleanor Rigby's gravestone. The Cavern Club shown in the video is actually our replica Cavern and the gravestone shown in the video is in our exhibition.
